From 25th – 27th June 2026, ASLI Pangan joined the global specialty coffee community in Brussels for the World of Coffee expo — one of the industry’s largest gatherings of producers, roasters, traders, and buyers. This year, we had the honor of attending as part of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade’s national booth, alongside a curated group of Indonesian coffee producers, roasters, and cafés, together with international partners including Meramanis from Cologne, Germany and Hejo Coffee from Amsterdam.
A Joint Mission with our Investee company – Noozkav Kopi Indonesia
ASLI Pangan Indonesia traveled to Brussels on a joint mission along with Noozkav Kopi Indonesia, our investee company, united by a shared goal : to introduce our green and roasted coffee lineup to the world, and — just as importantly — to introduce the SRG (Sistem Resi Gudang) warehouse receipt system as a cornerstone of the AFFC solution for Indonesian coffee farmers and cooperatives.

Over three days on the exhibition floor, our Head of International Sales, Liberty Fauquex, engaged directly with international buyers, traders, and coffee companies to talk through how the SRG warehouse ecosystem works, how it de-risks and formalizes financing for smallholder farmers, and how ASLI Pangan’s broader ecosystem of producers connects to global markets. These conversations are the foundation for building lasting trade relationships rooted in transparency and traceability.
Meanwhile, Mr. Daroe Handojo of Noozkav showcased roasted Indonesian coffee lineup, giving visitors a taste of the archipelago’s diversity — from the ever-popular Gayo, to the vibrant Mamasa from Sulawesi, to ASLI Pangan’s current signature offering: the Java Preanger Arabica, a specialty coffee from the highlands of West Java.
Cupping Sessions: Letting the Coffee Speak
Beyond the booth, we brought Indonesia’s specialty coffee range to life through cupping sessions held in the official World of Coffee cupping rooms. These sessions gave international roasters and buyers the chance to experience firsthand the depth, complexity, and distinct character of Indonesian coffees — a sensory introduction that often speaks louder than any pitch deck.

Building Relationships with Global Players
World of Coffee is as much about relationships as it is about coffee, and this year was no exception. We connected and exchanged ideas with major international players including Blaser Café from Switzerland, Sucafina, ECOM, and Fairtrade, with in-depth conversations centered on EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) compliance — a topic increasingly critical to anyone exporting into the European market.
These discussions reinforced something we’ve long believed: that traceability, sustainability, and fair, transparent financing aren’t just good practice — they’re becoming the baseline expectation for doing business in specialty coffee globally. It’s exactly the space where ASLI Pangan’s SRG-backed model and the AFFC solution are built to compete.

Looking Ahead
Three days in Brussels reminded us how much appetite there is internationally for Indonesian coffee — and for the kind of transparent, farmer-centered financing infrastructure that ASLI Pangan and our partners are building. From new friendships with global trading houses to first conversations that may become long-term partnerships, World of Coffee 2026 was a meaningful step in bringing Indonesia’s coffee, and its farmers, closer to the world stage.
We’re grateful to the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, as well as the Indonesian Embassy of Belgium and the Ambassador of Indonesia, Mr. Andy Rachmianto for the opportunity to represent Indonesian coffee alongside such a strong delegation, and to Noozkav for making the journey with us. Here’s to the conversations that started in Brussels — and the trade relationships they’ll grow into.
